Album Notes
the journey

in your hands you hold the most important part of our 12 year musical journey. melodies select themselves. we have made five albums and the tunes here are the ones which people asked us to play, or the musicians in quijeremá wanted to perform. thus, this is an instinctive selection.

we have added to the journey—as interludes—tunes that we made for films. many of these pieces we never perform live, but they are an integral part of our experimentation and impromptu studio and in-situ creation.

in 12 years we have collaborated with many magnificent musicians from the usa, puerto rico, colombia, venezuela, méxico, uruguay, canada and chile. the musicians corroborate that some music has no borders, dwells in the unconscious, congregates the moment and speaks from the celestial—we thank all who made these recordings fragments of light.a central axis to our work has been the eye and the love of our brother guillermo prado, chilean painter, photographer and graphic artist, creator of 100% of our aura and graphic image—“weelee,” we are forever thankful for your work.

we started as a trio and in many ways function as a trio, always collaborating with others, nonetheless the responsibility here is ours—we are the ones who created the music, rehearsed, created web-pages, recorded and mixed the albums, wrote countless e-mails, coordinated, at times, 100 musicians on the stage, produced tours to venezuela, canada, chile and in the usa, and much more. therefore, a million thanks to my talented colleagues jeremy allen & maría fernanda acuña falcón, for their perseverance and their love for the art of making música.
