ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Every year as the Days of Awe approach, many people make a pilgrimage to a big white tent on the grounds of our beloved synagogue Kehillat Lev Shalem, the Congregation of a Full Heart. On Rosh Hashanah and again on Yom Kippur we gather under the tent and we sing, we pray, we laugh and cry and reflect, and we work to see ourselves and each other through clear and generous eyes. The Kotzker Rebbe taught: Where does God dwell? Wherever we let God in.”

Together, we allow ourselves to become holy vessels, and the space under that tent becomes holy ground. This recording is our humble and heartfelt effort to capture the music and feeling of the High Holy Days at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation. May it comfort and inspire you throughout the year.
