Rachael Claire Eid-Ries is an inspirational singer songwriter with a down-to-earth sound. Her folk-blues voice is warm and passionate, usually accompanied by piano, viola or her rockin' mandolin. She writes songs that are hummable, so concert-goers shouldn't be surprised if they find themselves singing her tunes long after they've heard them.
Rachael has been busy with various collaborative projects over the past few years. She released her debut folk-gospel album entitled “Fragrance” in January of 2012 with a collaborative celebration that included music, dance, theater and live visual performance art at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Her songs have also been showcased at the renowned Grand Rapids Artprize, an international art and music competition in 2011 and 2012.
Rachael is also an avid performer with different groups and in many places. As a founding member of The Rachael Claire Trio (with Will Alderman, percussion and Ariele Macadandang, violin), they opened for the Grand Rapids Symphony at the Summer Picnic Pops Series in summer of 2012. In the Rachael Claire Duo (with Ariele Macadandang, violin), they have performed in churches, restaurants and open mics in Kalamazoo, MI. As a soloist, Rachael has performed at the Racine Art Museum in Wisconsin and she can also be found playing at tea shops and on the streets of Chicago during the summer.
