Some tracks evoke the essence of chamber music, with warm sounds and complex textures. Others surge forward with the raw energy of traditional dance. The album ventures through a multitude of styles, with old tunes as well as original compositions rooted in French, English, Celtic, contra dance, and swing traditions, to name a few.

Rachel is joined by an astonishing cast of musicians, all masterful and well-established artists in their own right:

Susan Kevra: clarinet, vocals
Eileen Nicholson: fiddle
Julie Vallimont: piano
Andrew VanNorstrand: guitars, bass, vocals
Noah VanNorstrand: fiddle, mandolin

This album is already traveling far and wide and receiving rave reviews! “Tone Chamber” is sure to please your ears and keep your toes tapping, from the sparkly introduction of “Anita’s Waltz” to the edgey improvisations of “Cascade/Dial Pancake” right down to the elegant “Argos Inn” at the end.
