Album Notes
Radio Intro

Yakir Arbib - piano

Roberto Giaquinto - drums

John Escobar - producer/engineer

RADIO INTRO duo was formed in Rome, Italy, in 2008 just after Yakir Arbib won the first place in the "Massimo Urbani" international jazz award: just freshly met, the two musicians went on to record Arbib's debut album entitled "Portrait" which
was issued by Philology and distributed throughout Europe and Asia. Shortly after, the two received a scholarship from Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston together, where they continued performing throughout the Massachusetts and
New York area while completing their B.M. degree. In April 2013 they performed a concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington D.C.) premiering Arbib's hour-long Concert Suite "Waves of Visions"; a work scored for their duo including two other musicians and a visual artist. The two talented musicians, both with a very active performing career in Europe and in the States, have played all over the globe with some of the most renowned artists of the world. Radio Intro is that perfect "place" in which Giaquinto and Arbib experiment with their creativity and personalities, mixing their
knowledge with the curiosity of the unknown and the unexpected. Their incredible instrumental skills and maturity allow them to freely search and welcome that feeling of surprise and spontaneity that is the most exciting thing about every Radio Intro
concert. The audience is a big part of this creation process, and each show feels like a very deep and joyful journey through sounds and rhythms.
Ever since their debut in 2008, they have performed in acclaimed venues and festivals such as "Arezzo Theater", "Villa Celimontana", "Roma Jazz", "Something'' Jazz" (Manhattan, NY), "Xibus Performance Hall" (Cambridge, MA), "the Kennedy Center
for the Performing Arts" (Washington D.C.) and others. In 2014 their recorded performances attracted the attention of Boston-based
producer/engineer John Escobar, who joined forces with Radio Intro to produce their first album.
