Album Notes
Rahmlee Michael Davis¸ a Chicago native, trumpeter, composer, arranger and producer, recorded early in his career as a studio musician with such classic labels as Brunswick, Chess, Dakar, Curtom, Columbia and Capitol Records, just to name a few.

Rahmlee has recorded with such notable artists as Earth, Wind & Fire, Phil Collins, The Jacksons, Tyrone Davis, Frieda (of Abba), Jackie Wilson, The Whispers, Michael Jackson, Stanley Turrentine, The Sylvers, Side Affect, Rodney Franklin, B.B. King, The Chi-Lites, Barbara Ackland, The Artistics, Gene Chandler, Tupac Skakur, Curtis Mayfield, Snoop Dogg, Donny Hathaway, Ramsey Lewis, Young & Holt, Minnie Riperton, Philip Bailey, The Emotions, Klique, Charles Earland, Macy Gray, Bobby Womak, Al McCay & the LA All-Stars, and countless others.

Rahmlee appears on most of these recordings together with Michael Harris, the late Don Myrick, and the late Lui Lui Satterfield, as a member of the original Earth, Wind & Fire horn section, known independently as “The Phenix Horns Esquire”, whose versatile and unique musical style and explosive stage presence made them so in demand that after many years of recording and touring with Earth, Wind & Fire, whose many Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum records earned the renown group numerous Grammy Awards, Phil Collins staged a musical coup, and the Phenix Horns became an important element of his decade-long string of Gold and Platinum recordings and his numerous highly-successful world tours.

Rahmlee’s newest 2006 release, ”You Can’t Stop This” says it all…a talent of this magnitude just can’t be stopped! Other titles currently available include “Intimacy” on Rham Records, “Soul Jazz” on Honest Records, and “Rise of the Phenix” on Headfirst Records. For more information, visit www.rahmlee.com.
