Album Notes
Red Wine For My Heart is the third CD by this Winston-Salem NC based bluegrass band. Band members include Allen Conrad on guitar and vocals, Jack Steelman on upright bass, Dennis Severt on mandolin and vocals (an original member of Southbound with Lou Reid and Jimmy Haley that later starred with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver and with Seldom Scene), and John Boulding on banjo, resonator guitar and vocals (formerly a member of the Shady Grove Band and co-founder of Wyatt Rice and Santa Cruz). Joining Rain Check for this project is the stellar Glen Alexander on fiddle.

This project includes five Rain Check originals as well as covers by Towns VanZandt, The Subdudes, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, David Loggins and John Prine. The live Bonus Track features renowned guitarists Wyatt Rice and Claiborne Williams. This is refined bluegrass/americana/acoustic music at its best.
