Album Notes
This CD is a contribution project that has well known Brazilian standards and original compositions from these three very talented and experienced musicians in the Brazilian music genre. Claudio Spiewak on guitar, Magrus Borges on drums and Gabriel Vivas on acoustic and electric basses.
Special guests: Antonio Adolfo, Leo Gandelman, Ed Calle, Nestor Torres.
-Claudio Spiewak, guitarist:
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Claudio is a guitarist, composer and producer with a passion for music. His influences range from his native Brazilian music to jazz and latin music stiles. With over 20 years of experience playing the guitar, C. Spiewak has toured/recorded with artists such as: Bebel Gilberto, Tim Maia, Leo Gandelman, Elba Ramalho, Antonio Adolfo, Roberto Perera, Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, Jimmy Smith, Nestor Torres, Shakira among many others.
-Magrus Borges, drummer:
A native of the Amazon-Belen, Brazil, this drummer, percussionist, composer and producer has performed with many famous international artists such as: Tania Maria, Larry Coryel, Caetano Veloso, Ivan Lins, Joyce, Leila Pinheiro, Elsa Soares among others. He also toured and recorded with Astrud Gilberto, Grace Jones and Bebel Gilberto.
-Gabriel Vivas, acoustic and electric bassist:
Born in Texas, raised in Caracas Venezuela. Gabriel Vivas is a bass player, song writer and producer with a passion for Brazilian music, he dedicates a great part of his carrier playing and producing in this music stile. He has toured, recorded and/or performed with various artists like: Antonio Adolfo, Leo Gandelman, the legendary Tito Puente, Sammy Figueroa, Dave Valentin, Claudio Roditi, Ira Sullivan, Delmar Brown, Patato Valdez, Juan Pablo torres, Paquito De'Rivera, Othello Molineux, Melton Mustafa's big band, Nestor torres, Shakira, Ilan chester and many other artists and musicians.
