Among Black Hearts

by Ralf Rabendorn

Melodic, dark, slow and very moody. The new tracks by Mr. Rabendorn are by far the most musical and also melancholic tracks in his solo career as R.Rabendorn (so far)! The special atmosphere of these tracks underlines this very unique release.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Although Mr. Rabendorn started his solo career as Ralf Rabendorn with much more experimental tracks, this release finally shows the more melodic face of the man, who has released music far before his solo work.
The release is another step, another evidence of his idea "Remove all borders".
Life is too short too release always the same songs.
Rabendorn is some kind of Underground counterpart to early Bowie Chameleon-like changes...if you will.

People who like darker, but also melancholic song oriented tracks could fall in love with this new release "Among Black Hearts", which features only real and real-time performed instruments and voices. Nothing comes from sterile computer software or instruments.

There are moments of experimental sounds (ending, for example) and there are typical Rabendorn sounds and ideas integrated, but more in a musical way, more song oriented and more "occasionally and not obviously"

Mr. Rabendorn sings this time his moody songs in English and his voice shows a very intense depth, dynamic and variety. On earlier solo records he used his voice often as more spoken words oriented voice, with not much singing (although with his bands and other projects, he was regularly singing (German and English). This has changed.

We can only look forward what comes next.
It won't be the same...that's for sure!
