Album Notes
Ramy Raad is an Ivorian born artist of Lebanese descent. His musical talent is defined by a warm and powerful vocal style derived from Reggae Roots and Soul. In 2004, at the young age of 15, he began his music career by recording “Babylon System,” “They Can Change the World” and “Taxi Driver.”
Between 2004 and 2006, Ramy recorded “If My Love Was Around” and “Some People Told Me” and began performances at “Parker Place” in Abidjan with bands such as “Vieux Mogo” and “The Wise Men.” He has continued to share the stage with many local reggae artists such as Ras Kalif, Spyrow and Kajeem .
Ramy moved to Bordeaux, France, in 2008 where he collaborated with multiple French reggae artists and bands including “Jahneration.” In 2013, he was featured on Jahneration’s single "Let Jah Be Praised." While in France, Ramy formed the band “Shining Storm” enhancing his musical identity with a mixture of soul, reggae and hip hop. Additional collaborations include “Midnite Dreamer” by Keurspi. In 2013, Ramy released a lovers rock mixtape entitled “Mash Up Di Riddim.”

During the summer of 2013, Ramy was invited by dub producer and soundsystem owner Jacin from the label High Tension Records to perform at Rototom Sunsplash in Benicassim, Spain. Together they released “Guilty Man” featuring Humble Lion and “Jani Be Good” with The Raad Threes (Aimann Raad, Humble Lion and Ramy Raad) co-produced by Ya Foy Production. In 2017, Ramy was invited to share a performance on the mainstage of Rototom with French artist Naaman.
Ramy participates regularly as a member of the Raad Threes at Ivorian festivals including the Abi Reggae Festival, Abidjan Reggae Rock Festival and Reggae Party.

RAMY RAAD is currently working on a new album "BURNING IN
LOVE" with his band Shining Storm produced by Ya Foy Production. The album includes his new single ‘So Tricky’ recorded with Ivorian band Kingston Gangstar.
