by Randy Melick

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have been a musician all of my life, and I never really thought about the way music has affected me. In 1998 I produced an album entitled “Acoustic Passages”. Acoustic Guitar Magazine wrote an article on one of the song, ‘Like the Wind”. However, I still did not realize what was going on with my songwriting. In 2004 I produced another album entitled “Winter Solace” and sold out within one year. This CD had traditional and original songs intertwined together. I knew then, that I would be writing music for a purpose. In 2011, I went back to school to obtain a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Once I graduated, my intentions were to somehow combine the world of music and medicine together. I began to write songs that contained sound effects and the sounds sung by humpback whales. They had a peculiar effect on the mind, combined with classical and acoustic guitar “Healing Melodies and Harmonies”, I also found out this music could not only benefit children with Autism, it could also benefit individuals with depression, anxiety, and stress disorders. In most areas of our live, music often plays a big roll in how we function and communicate in our world.
