Album Notes
"A Few Songs EP" is a selection of some of Randi's original songs, new and old. The songs on this EP echo the story of Randi finding herself back home in her hometown of Fargo, ND, after years of travels, successes, and trials.

Raised by a folk singer/songwriter father and a classically trained soprano mother, Randi grew up singing everything from James Taylor to show tunes. At the age of 14, her dad lent her a guitar, taught her how to read a chord chart, and sent her on her way. After plunking away at a few Jewel songs and not really feeling someone else's music, she figured she might as well try writing songs of her own.

14 years and many songs later, Randi is still writing her own music. Randi gleans inspiration from various musical genres to create a style similar to if Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald had a love child. Randi takes simple guitar progressions and overlaps them with unique and unexpected melodies.

Randi grew up in Fargo, ND but spent the last 8 years living out west and traveling the globe getting her BA in Creative Writing and working as a Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor. When she isn't playing music back home in Fargo, she is running her own holistic healing practice, NaturallyRandiKay.com, that focuses on Yoga, Thai Massage, and Self Care Coaching.
