Album Notes
Upbeat country rock song about a cattle drive to Texas. The male singer laments how long the trip is, but is enchanted with a sexy cowgirl who is part of the team. The verses are almost rap. The instrumental is classic hard 1950's rock'n'roll. The drum track is very good. (All instruments played by Mark Sepic, who produced the song.) Mark is also the male chorus who sounds like the Jordanaires (who backed up Elvis Presley), using the Barbershop Quartet method and ProTools software. Very catchy, you will have trouble getting the chorus out of your head. The main refrain was written by Randy about 50 years ago but he could not think of anything to go with it until in a sudden fit of inspiration he wrote the verses in a few minutes in May 2013 and the ending came to him while driving his car on a long drive a week later. For the record, Randy has actually been in Texas (Houston) briefly and would like to visit Austin.
