Album Notes
"Under the Mercy" was recorded "live" in the winter & spring of 1994. Paul Wilson, Brent Larson, and I rehearsed for and played 2 Concerts. The first was in Springfield IL. Through a technical glitch, no actual recording took place though the tape ran!!?? We had one shot left... The next night in the little town of Barry, IL with a group of ardent fans, a miracle occurred! We recorded the entire concert and had a blast! The resulting 15 songs are a legacy of hope and belief, trust and grace! I was much younger then and my voice hadn't suffered through a couple of somewhat disastrous sinus surgeries. The light and airy "Randy Creath" voice is now gone forever - except on these recordings. With Paul on lead guitar and Brent on bass, we had a wonderful time and I'm glad to share it with you! I played guitar and keyboards. All my vocals are original with no overdubs. The rest of the recording is pretty much live with the exception of a couple of guitar and bass fixes. I hope you enjoy these songs! They were written out of pain, joy, wonder, mystery, and the simple urge to live life to the fullest! Thanks for being a part of the continued journey!!
