ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I love stories, good stories. Stories that make me think and stick with me. Even stories that haunt me. I’ve been around a while. In fact, I turned 66 years old on my last birthday, and I want to write songs that tell those kinds of stories. Ones that hit me in the heart, take my breath away, and make me nod and say, "Yep, that is exactly how I feel." I won't waste my time on stories that don’t move me. So here's my third solo album Red Crow. Thirteen stories in the form of songs that get my motor running, and excite me every time I bust 'em out on stage. These are songs I want to hear. That make a difference to me. And the songs that folks ask me "Is that on a record?" The songs with stories I keep coming back to. From my perspective, these songs are about the real stuff, the important stuff, the real people and most of all real life. In the end, that's the kind of stories that count. At least for me, Lord knows, at my age I don’t have time for anything else.
