Brilliant Contemporary Middle Eastern music
Raquy Danzinger has traveled the world and brought back with her the knowledge and skill to compose music with Middle Eastern and Egyptian tonality. “Bewitched,” the latest release from Raquy and the Cavemen is a brilliant collection of these cultures and is filled with well crafted songs. This album features Dumbek (Arabic hand drum) and the Iranian Kamanche (an instrument comparable to the violin) creating traditional Middle Eastern music. The tone is very intense throughout the entire album. The Kamanche wails hauntingly over beaten drums on tracks like "Axarai" and the title track "Bewitched." Tracks such as "Metal" feature some virtuoso style drum rhythms and should not be missed. While this is sure to be a great live show, don’t miss an opportunity to listen to "Bewitched" as it is an album well worth hearing as well.
