ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album of interweaving vocal lines and complex musical textures has its roots deep in the paths of meditation and love. From lyrical and inviting to energizing to contemplative and calming, Raso’s clear voice and rich harmonies flow into pathways that embrace the power and beauty of nature and the vast inner sky. She is supported by multi-instrumentalist Eric Forrest’s masterful guitar, mandolin and keyboards, with Jason Hicks contributing his melodious saxophone.

Alaya means abode, the inner abode, the inner sky that contains light and dark, joy and pain, death and abundant life. The songs on this album are uplifting reflections of moods and facets of the journey toward being human, encouraging us to attune to intrinsic, nourishing beauty, and to move lightly over rocky ground. A Misty Ridge Media release.
