Album Notes
Rattle and Strum's second album is painted with large splashes of fun (see the title track, "Ants in My Pants", the hilarious sneezy tango, "Achoo!", and superhero saga "Meatball Man"), sprinkled with messages of acceptance and courage (see "I Don't Wanna Be a Princess Anymore" and "Do It Anyway"), and delivered with love and care by two seasoned musicians (and their friends) who think children deserve their own music that is as entertaining and listenable as the tunes their parents listen to.

Their self-titled first children’s album was released in August 2013, supported by a grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. It received a prestigious Parents’ Choice Gold Award, their highest stamp of approval. Although it is a children’s album, it spent two weeks on the Top 30 chart for Alberta’s public radio station, CKUA. It was recently the only Canadian band nominated for an Independent Music Award for best children’s album, and was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award and Canadian Folk Music Award as well. Performances have included the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival, Live From the Rock! Folk Fest in Red Rock, Ontario, Calgary Folk Fest, and Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Fest. Armed with catchy tunes, great grooves, visual props, and a great sense of fun, this is a show that no one will forget soon!
