Album Notes
My music is really an expression of experiences from my life. It can be about my personal struggles or based upon things I've heard or seen around me. In particular I like to use instrumentals to paint pictures. For example "Seagulls Delight" was influenced by seeing seagulls at a beach where they were flying up and dropping what could have been shellfish, to try and break them open. I tried to capture this curiosity in music.
I tend to record all instruments myself, with the occasional guest keyboard player. This gives me freedom to craft each track and hopefully capture the feel for each song. Plus it's just easier for me in my situation to do it my self.
As a full time guitar teacher, I also hope to inspire my students through my music, but mostly having grown up being touched by other artists music, I hope to be able to give back through my songs and music a feeling of joy and emotion I have experienced from others.
