Album Notes
"I love music. I love playing it, I love singing it. And every song I write is straight from the heart." These words are like a mantra for Ray Riddle, who has written more songs than he can count. A childhood spent on a rural Ohio dairy farm is the inspiration for many of the tunes, with songs like 'Take me Back' and the signature 'Country Boy' conjuring images of warm summer nights after a long day working the fields. As a boy he toyed with the guitar, buying his first for ten dollars. But without other musicians to learn from, he could only progress so far. As a teenager, he left the fields of Ohio for the coal mines of Kentucky and befriended local bluegrass players, who helped Ray hone his skills. "I'd go around to people's houses, and we'd play 'till all hours of the night. That right there was what really taught me how to play."

my husband loved this album! He had been looking for it since he saw Ray Riddle on a PBS special. Now he has it and says its the best album he has ever heard!

real good country music
Thanks to Ray Riddle for this album that sounds like real honky-tonk country music. It's far better than 90% of the country music you can hear on the radio nowadays. It reminds me great names of country music like Don Williams or George Jones ... Ray Riddle has a great voice too. For all the fans of real country music, you can buy this album, you won't be disappointed, for sure. Thanks for this album.

this guy knows how to write a real song!!!!!!!!
