Album Notes
These four settings for piano came about from my work as a church musician. I wanted to create some unobtrusive, contemplative settings of familiar tunes that would be appropriate for liturgical use. While these were conceived with the Eucharist (Lord's Supper/Communion) in mind, they are not limited to this context; they are also effective for private use in quiet times of reflection, reading, prayer etc. All tracks are performed by the composer.

1. "Were You There" (African-American Spiritual, arr. by R. Christopher Teichler)
2. "Moody" (Tune by Daniel B. Towner, arr. by R. Christopher Teichler)
3. "Near the Cross" (Tune by William H. Doane, arr. by R. Christopher Teichler)
4. "...in remembrance..." (Composed by R. Christopher Teichler)

I hope you find these to be enjoyable and meaningful. Sheet music for all four is available in one collection at www.christeichler.com.
