ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Conceived and recorded as a follow-up to Reclaiming's 1987 "Chants: Ritual Music" album, this recording showcases inspired chants and songs from the wider Reclaiming community. Though we wanted them to be easy to learn and sing along to, we also wanted to vary the musical styles somewhat from our earlier recording.

Reclaiming is a goddess-focused tradition that brings together earth-based spirituality and direct political, ecological, and social action. This versatile recording, produced in 1994, has many chants and songs from Reclaiming's classes, summer intensives, and rituals. These chants are useful for rituals, classes, and ceremonies. Most are easy to learn and sing along. The songs touch on themes of goddess spirituality, ecology, commitment, personal empowerment, and more. All lyrics included. This CD is musically varied, with a host of instruments.
