Album Notes
Recovery Council is the sonic product of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Rebeca Qualls and her wildly varied musical background. Her brand of "electro-intenso-lounge-rock" weaves elements of easy listening, post-punk, jazz, industrial, metal, and new wave into uniquely styled yet accessible songs.

Although her initial release, Advent 619, was crafted more from a palette of dreamy, lo-fi pop, her recent cover of "A Million Questions" by veteran post-punk outfit My Dad Is Dead is more of a true representation of Recovery Council's evolving sound. Fusing piano and string synth-laden verses with a raucous chorus of droning guitars and a driving rhythm section, Qualls' dynamic, velvety vocal style holds it all together.

Recovery Council's next full-length endeavor, Gentle Stories, is slated for release in February 2011.
