ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Red June's highly anticipated debut album, Remember Me Well, leads listeners through a raw, emotional journey, highlighted by the band's thoughtful and innovative songwriting, heartfelt vocals, exciting and tasteful instrumental work and soaring harmonies. The lead off track, Biscuits & Honey, is an uplifting crescendo combining Will's roots-rock influenced songwriting with textured instrumental interplay. This is followed by John's, A Quiet Mind; an introspective piece introducing Red June's signature three part harmonies. Will answers on track three with the wonderfully dark and soulful McKinney Blues, showcasing his commanding steel guitar playing. The first instrumental on the album, Callahan, features Natalya's lively fiddling, and was written by John's grandfather and former Blue Grass Boy, Jim Shumate. Next comes the spacious Home is a Railroad, co-penned by John and former bandmate Ben Wartena, followed by Will's wildly popular Dylan tribute, Run Boy Run. John then offers up the raucous blues number Run Around followed by an inspired version of the Neil Young tour de force, Comes A Time. The mood softens with Will's delivery of the brilliant Phoenix penned by his friend Rowland Stebbins, followed by a fiery mandolin number, San Juan Hill. The album comes to a close with John's touching lament, Come Patience, an old favorite perfectly redesigned. Remember Me Well promises to tug at your heart, uplift your spirit, and will certainly leave you wanting more.
