Album Notes
The Red Shoe Collection was formed in 2002 from a group of three high school teachers who accidentally found out how well they played together. The group quickly grew to a total of eight members and the current membership is six. Led by singer/songwriter Vince Peterson, the group has gained a lot of following and respect in a very short amount of time. Their EP, "Far Away Love" immediately sold out three CD printings upon its release. They have played at reputable locations in San Francisco such as Original Joe's, The Canvas Café and Hotel Utah. Recently, Red Shoe has branched out to collaborate with several local theater companies. Audiences for repeat performances of these projects have ranged from 300-600 people per night! The most recent project was a production of "The Wiz" with Pied Piper Players, Inc. of San Mateo County. The music aspect of these eight performances met raving audiences who rushed out after each show to purchase Red Shoe's long awaited first full-length album: "Oh, This Life".

The sound is highly influenced by the music of the 1970s including the work of artists such as Carole King, James Taylor, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. We are also very influenced by names such as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. The music has that pure "liquid velvet" feel with amazing peaks and valleys in the beat. Overall, Red Shoe has one of the tightest and most professional sounds for today's listener. We are not a band to be overlooked.

Absolutely Stunning!
I love this cd! I can't stop listening to it. The music is beautiful, the vocals are breathtaking, the harmonies perfect and the instrumentation flawless. I can't imagine it being any better than this.

I normally shy away from new groups. Unless their an established artist such as Matheny, U2 or Neil Young or same Jazz/Rock styles. Well this album breaks the mold.I can't stop listening to the great sweeping waves of sound that Rocks your world while being subtle and layered with soul. I strongly recommened Red Shoe. Why can't more new groups sound this great coming out of the gates? Un f--king believable. I hope they tour soon.

Great Stuff!!
I listened to this Cd some time ago. I stays with my Diana Krall and Swing (The Musical) CDs in the car. Makes the commute a snap! Harmony is excellent, as is the background music and arrangement!

Amzing! What a great combo!
Expert musicianship meets a tasteful mixture of decades! What a joy to listen to. There's no way you could be in a bad mood after listening to this!

Hot and Sexy
It makes me feel good all over. When I listen to the CD I find myself dancing and swaying, feeling my partner holding me tight. Everything blends together for a very sensuous and sexy sound. Hope to hear more CD's in the near future

Welcome to a New Era
I, obviously, have a rather personal connection with this CD, but to tell the truth, I discovered it by accident. It happened to be the only CD in the car one day while enjoying a nice stint in gruesome traffic. I went through the whole album, and had an itch to see who the artist was. Low and behold, as I pull into my driveway, it's the Red Shoe Collection, and it was pretty dang good. Regardless of your genre of choice, the Red Shoe Collection can satisfy your urge, unless you get your lollies off on Mozart. Then you just need to get out more. Like getting out and buying this CD!

Sexy, yes!
The guitar player is hot and his sound is even evokes memories of the best kind. This is a "feel good" CD that can take you to work, through your day, or on a trip down memory lane.

Incredibly sexy stuff
This CD is incredibly sexy -- almost erotic -- and my girlfriend thinks so even more than I do.

Check this group out. They are even better live!
I heard this group play at the Canvas in SF a few weeks ago. The band is tight in person and the addition of the B3 player gives them a very unique sound. They also have an acoustic set that will blow you away.
Check them out!

Original, truly musically solid... Good Stuff!
Musically interesting, different. A nice fusion with a modern original element. It is a refreshing change of pace from the repetitive, pounding songs that currently pass for music.
