Album Notes
Red Young & His Hot Horns is the group put together by Artist, Vocalist, Piano/Organist, Arranger and Producer Red Young. It is based on the blues and jazz sounds of the late 1940s through the 1960s. Performing regularly around his hometown of Austin, TX the band performs around Texas area and includes a full horn section (2 trumpet/alto-tenor-baritone saxes, piano/hammond organ, drums & bass). Red has been performing since age 3 and toured with artists such as Sonny & Cher, Joan Armatrading, Linda Ronstadt/Nelson Riddle, Eric Burdon, Marcia Ball and many others. He has had his own jazz, swing and blues groups since the 1970s and has recorded on several hundred albums during his career.
