Eclipse One

by Regarding Angels

This group takes its rock/folk songwritting on the acoustic guitar, wraps it around a rock/jazz-style electric guitar, and adds in some jazz drumming and Bruce Hornsby-like keyboards for a sound unlike anything you've heard before.

Album Notes
Regarding Angels has been playing together for approximately five years.

The band is a duo of Luke Boyce and John Thamm originally from Cissna Park, Illinois.

They now call Champaign, Illinois, their home base.

Luke Boyce, the primary songwriter of the band, contributes his talents of vocals and acoustic rhythm guitar, while John specializes in the electric lead guitar.

The band has written around seventy original songs and jams and have also mastered a wide varitey of covers.

Influenced to a large extent by artists such as the Dave Matthews Band, Tim Reynolds, U2, Brian May, and Paul Simon, this band performs well in both acoustic/coffee-house settings as well as in front of large audiences.

Their self-titled album is the first to be recorded by the band.

Their second CD titled Eclipse One takes them to another dimension, adding piano, bass, percussion, and orchestra to their songs.

Their original songs are performed with inspiration whether they are experienced as a duo or a fully orchestrated band.

One review by Troy Michael of The Pulse, following the Midwest Music Showcase at the Canopy Club, says that, "Regarding Angels performed original material with style and class showing that they were one of the best on the stage." The large collection of their original work speaks for their unique talent whether they are performing to large audiences, playing intimate small-audience venues, or doing live radio shows.

Their love for music is shown not only through their personal endeavors but also through what they offer back to the music world.

Most recently, the group has agreed to perform their orginal material at a charity fund-raiser held each year to help keep school art and music programs alive with the eventual goal of giving full music and art scholarships to deserving students.
