Album Notes
Reggae Jackson was formed in 1978 from the Sausalito band "Jah Love" led by Josh Mills. Jimmy Foot (guitar) and Bill Thompson (keys), two studio musicians, joined the band, followed by Shelly Huntley (bass), Joyce jackson (flute & vocals), Karen Ida White (congas)and Jim Carrington (drums).
The album was produced by Dylan/Cash producer Bob Johnston, who brought in Cheryl Lynn (at the time a Platinum artist on the charts), Delbert Langston, Kenneth Nash, Jeff Narell, Joni Haastrup, and Jimmy Foot's son's 6th grade class. This album could have been recorded last year, as the themes in several songs are still current. It was engineered by Susie Foot and recorded at Villa Recorders, Cherokee, The Record Plant and Caribou Ranch.

Reggae Jackson is GREAT!
This music is so original and tasty! If you like reggae or music in general then you will really appreciate listening to this Reggae Jackson cd which was produced by Bob Johnston who produced so many gold / platinum records for Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash and many other well known accomplished artists. Percussion is by Kenny Nash (The Black Stallion motion picture soundtrack) and some sizzling hot vocals by Cheryl Lynn ( known for her hit song "Got to be Real").
This is one of many cds by guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Foot who you can check out on the net at his website : - His band "The Rhyth-O-Matics", also available here at, opened for Jimmy Cliff, Madness, Fishbone and many other popular acts. Check out his solo albums "Jimmy Foot - Rhythm Addict" (which is incredible) as well as "Jimmy Foot - The Instrumentals" Last, but not least, Jimmy Foot's Christmas Ska cd "Ska Santas" which is a blast and a wonderful winter gift for anyone who wants to have great Christmas music to dance and celebrate the holiday season! All of these cds, available here at, comprise a collection of quality music which is a pure pleasure to listen to, cherish and share with friends and family anytime, anywhere! I have mine! Also check out Jimmy Foot's music videos on You Tube!
