About the CD:
Lacing chest opening beats with thought provoking, intelligent lyrics on this destined to be classic EP, "Thought Criminal: Journal of a Serial thinker" draws the listener deep into the mind of an experienced, story teller, street poet, activist single parent, and musician. reMo' reveals a flush and colorful pallet of song writing and production technique varying in mood, concept and style, proving him to be an extremely versatile artist. And when long time friend, MC and producer Donnan Linkz (Uncle Howie Records/Embedded Music) steps in to cook up two hot bowls of head-nod soup for the controversial hit "Lies" and the inspiring autobiographical anthem "Time" (featuring Sparlha Swa), REMO adds the final lyrical spices to make these two dishes extremely tasty. This EP offers a full six course meal of classic material for any rap connoisseur to enjoy bringing them back for seconds.

Artist Bio:
Rising from Oakland, California, this golden-era inspired hip-hop artist has refused to bow down to the corporate slave traders dominating today's music business, choosing instead to embrace hip-hop as a lifestyle rather than just a commercial commodity. This gifted lyricist and producer knows how to move the crowd while speaking truths about extremely controversial political and social issues.

In 2003, Remo dropped the hard hitting anti-Bush, pre-Iraq invasion 12" single "Down to the Wire" backed with "Let Me Live". These songs harshly criticized the Bush regime, police corruption, and U.S. Imperialism, and quickly gained world-wide attention.

His recent release of a six song EP entitled "Thought Criminal-Journal of a Serial Thinker", includes production from long-time friend, MC and Producer, Donnan Linkz (Uncle Howie Records/Embedded Music), and further reveals the creative stamina and genius of this multitalented artist.

Coming from humble beginnings, and with modest means, Remo has hit his stride. From his modest studio in Oakland, California he continues to perfect his craft, bring his musical visions to life, and create powerful and truthful music for the heart, mind and soul.

young bo from the good and the bad

great sound

Ezar The Fresh

This album is just classic! It is the most live album I've heard in many years. His rhymes are dope and the beats are just bangin'. It's very unique and he has such different styles on each song. It goes from slow and chill, to a Brooklyn Underground flavor, to hard core fusion type of hit! If you love HIP-HOP, this is definatley an album you don't wanna miss. This MC really impresses me, can't wait to hear another album in the future. Peace.

This work of art is too ahead of its time for the small American mind. Too bad. As with Nina and Gil and the rest of the truthtellers, they'll do best abroad. Awesome e.p.!

As Good As It Gets!
Every song on this cd is perfect and unique. This cd is the fine art of hip hop, compared to the graffiti that passes off as music in the mainstream. The social commentary is priceless. I can't wait for more music from Remo Conscious.
