Album Notes
I am a native Washingtonian, Singer/Songwriter, I grew up listening to a variety of genres from Gospel to Rock, Funk, Hip Hop to Washington DC's own Chuck Brown.  “Destiny” is a song that expresses an empowering message that inspires you to pursue your destiny, regardless of where you find yourself in life! Have you ever asked yourself questions like, “Why am I here? What is my purpose in life, or have you ever felt like there has to be more to life? If you’ve ever been discouraged from reaching for your dreams, then “Destiny” is for you!” My music is a reflection of my experiences from becoming a teenage mom and head of the household at age 17 to performing LIVE in Washington DC and Las Vegas as a professional singer. I understand what it feels like to experience hopelessness and despair and I believe in giving back, sharing my talent with community events such as the Back to School Concert for Washington DC’s 1580 Radio, National Park Service Summer Concert Series, Bethesda Yacht Club with Jeff Majors, and Radio One's Love Festival with the late Miss DC Community, Sheila Steward. “Destiny” brings a relevant message of hope at a time in our country when many are feeling hopelessness and despair over race relations and terrorism. These issues affect everyone at some point in their lives, “whether you’re a millennial, generation x latch key kid, or a baby boomer. “Destiny” will encourage you to “focus on the things we as a human race have in common, and to come together based on that, rather than focusing on our differences.” Probably wont resolve all your issues, only GOD can do that! but it will inspire "hope", REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU FIND YOURSELF IN LIFE!
