Album Notes
When we last left our heroes, they were relaxing on a beach, martini in hand, fresh from a gruelling victory over the dreaded enemy force known as Top 40 music. But just as the victorious agents begin to enjoy some well-earned relaxation, there comes a new mission and with it a new album from The Reverb Syndicate.

This time around we find the band deep in space to launch its latest offering, Sputnik A-Go-Go. The new disc is a collection of ten Syndicate originals, combining the spy/surf of 2006’s Operation: Jet Set! with theremin-laced, double-picking surf rock from the depths of space!

Review from Phil Dirt at Reverb Central: (

This is the second release from The Reverb Syndicate. The whole album is light hearted, rich in imagery, and fluid. Sputnik A-Go-Go is a very listenable and enjoyable release.

"Sputnik" home on the beach
Despite launching the space-themed “Sputnik A-Go-Go”, the Reverb Syndicate’s music is firmly home on the beach. “Lunar Attack” and the title cut illustrate both sides of the group’s solid surf chops. “Attack” features propulsive guitar and drums while “Sputnik” is a more contemplative mid-tempo exploration of the surf sound. “Theremania” is probably the best of the bunch, a freewheeling romp with nimble guitar and pounding percussion. “The Martini Cluster” is almost its equal though, featuring some of the album’s best drumming. “Bolshevik Boogie” and record closer “Trans-Siberian Sunset” are the thoughtful side of the band. Beam me up for more.

Great second release...
This time, The Reverb Syndicate give their second effort a more relaxed, spacier, surfier sound. This CD sounds as if they\'re busy defending us from some sort of space invaders one-handed while holding a martini in the other. (Hey, these guys were busy saving the world from the-GASP-Top 40 with their first release, Operation: Jet Set.) If you liked their first CD, you\'ll like the second.
