Album Notes
This album is unique in many ways. It was created to provide a voice for the Universal Truths found in Buddhism, which crosses all cultural divides. "The Three Treasures" can be used as a 20-minute meditation and includes chant in 11 languages. To reach a younger audience, "Encounter" and "Dojokan" incorporate rap and the truth that "enlightenment is in the encounter" and that opportunities to make the world a better place occur "in this and all places." The beautiful choral piece, "Regarder of Sounds", transports the listener to spiritual places and comforts with the truth that there is One who listens to the cries of the world. "Many in Body, One in Spirit" imparts the truth that we are all connected and the Native American style fits the text perfectly. The final song is appropriately sung by children's voices, as it is the next generation to which these truths are entrusted. It is our hope that this album will provide comfort, healing, and hope in a world that is struggling with cultural diversity.
