Album Notes
Revolution mixes warm country fiddle with the energy of Celtic reels for a lively and inspiring musical performance experience. Upheld by a strong classical music background, this vibrant approach to music making has appealed to audiences of all ages.

Revolution, directed by Darcy Radcliffe and Fred Grigg, is an ensemble of 15 violinists, 1 cellist, 2 violists, a bass player, a guitar player, and one drummer between the ages of 14-18. Their performances highlight the talent and musicianship of the finest string players from the Abilene High and Cooper High School Orchestra programs; Abilene, Texas.

In the past 10 years Revolution has been on the National Public Radio’s acclaimed show “From the Top,” as well as special musical guests at several state and national conventions including the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the American String Teachers Association, and the National Association of School Boards. In 2010, Revolution was endorsed by the music company D’Addario. Since 2012, Revolution has performed with renowned musicians such as Mark O’Connor, Asleep at the Wheel, Riders In The Sky, Gary Morris, Barrage, The Quebe Sisters Band, and Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and cellist, Natalie Haas. June of 2013, Revolution toured China as part of the League of Astonishing Strings.

Most recently, Revolution has performed at the Texas capital for Texas Arts Education day, the National School Board Convention’s national convention and at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. In July of 2015, Revolution performed in Spain, France, England and Scotland as part of the League of Astonishing Strings European tour.
