ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Journey in the Forests of Amazonas

Our imaginary trip starts in the period of the dry season, at edge of a lake (bands 1 to 11). Later, in the period of the full season with the formation of the “igapó”, sailing in a canoe through and outside of the flooded forest during the day (bands 12 to 23). Two Grey Dolphins emerge to breathe (band 12). A dormitory of Neotropic Cormorant is observed (band 23). At nightfall (bands 24 to 26), birds, frogs, crickets are heard and even the sound of the Yellow Caiman in a lake (band 24). The Terra Firme forest raises imponent. The dawn is announced by innumerable birds species that sing (band 27), on the ground, in the under story and the canopy (bands 28 the 39). A running water seam sprouts of a cave (band 36), a Brown Bearded Saki is seen in the way (band 38) and an arena with Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock making courting exhibitions (band 39). A light rain falls in the forest (band 40). Passed the rain, the flock of birds comes back to sing (41 to 47, 49). A Black-faced Antthrush sings next to a narrow stream (band 44). A flock of Golden Handed-tamarin (Band 48) and a other of and other of Endangered Brazilian bare-faced tamarin is seen in the return of the walk (band 50). The end of the trip in the Amazon forest brings us a certainty: that the forest is an alive, full organism of enchantment and peace, which it needs to be kept to guarantee the survival of forest people and the future generation.
