Album Notes
Not only did ‘A Simple Plan’ by guitarist Reza Khan prove to be a veritable treasure chest of riches it also garnered the radio singles ‘Language Of Love’ (that featured Andy Snitzer on sax) and the equally good ‘Blue Dreams In Rio’. Now he is back with the CD ‘Dreamwalker’.

Domiciled in New York, Reza was born in Bangladesh and has recorded with his own band, Painted Diaries, since 2001 when he released an album of the same name. Although on record as continuously reaching for a global sound, Kahn’s music is remarkably accessible. Indeed it’s a must for those who have a penchant for smooth jazz guitar in the style of Peter White or Ken Navarro. A case in point is the easy grooving title cut that is well worth looking out for.

'Reza Khan knows how to put a team together. Such an amazing array of musical talent is seldom heard on independent records these days. Simple Plan is a record of actual human beings playing eclectic music
with no compromise on production values or invention. The world music overtones are a welcome and fresh addition to a crafted piece of modern instrumental work and put the record in a class of its own.'

-Fabrice Dupont (FAB), Grammy nominated producer, mixer and studio owner

"Reza Khan comes to world music as a consequence of both his musical identity and his citizenry on this planet. Knowing about Reza's musical and professional background made this project even more interesting. Artistically, the freedom Reza allows as a producer (his interest in the "road less traveled"), afforded me the opportunity to incorporate a wider range of influences into my work. It's unusual and rewarding to be given a real chance to create; I'm very proud of my participation in "A Simple Plan."
