ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Frydlant Nights is an exciting collaboration between Czech and American musicians who have been together since 2007. The group travels together regularly in Europe and the United States -- four tours together just in 2010 alone! They have performed for Czech Television and Czech Radio, and in dozens of concert and night club venues.

This group plays explosively! Co-leaders Rostislav Fras (tenor saxophone) and Skip Wilkins (piano) have combined with Neil Wetzel (alto saxophone), Josef Feco (bass) and Gary Rissmiller (drums) to form a high energy international ensemble. Fras and Feco live in Prague, while Wilkins, Wetzel and Rissmiller live in eastern Pennsylvania. The group performs music written by various group members. In their live sets, they also periodically add material from other composers.
