Randy Hansen jammed one night at a boat launching party in Seattle in 1977. One of the musicians there was Charles Tapp who Randy later called to play drums on his demo. These tracks were recorded by David Rubinson at The Automat in San Francisco, and shopped for the resulting 1980 “Randy Hansen Album” on Capitol Records. Randy also
plays bass on this demo, and Bill Champlin was brought in for supporting vocals. These songs were re-recorded for the Capitol album, and “Thinking of You” was not included.

The later pre-production tracks on this CD were recorded by Randy at his home in Seattle, with Tapp on drums. These songs were to evolve into the second Capitol album, but were never released…until now…

We hope you enjoy the music!!
