Rhap like yhou've not heard it before
Heard this album at a friend's house and had to buy it. The lyrics are joyful, funny, and clearly taken right from Grant Boden's life. He sounds a bit like Jerry Garcia, but his phrasing is much better. You can tell he's a drummer... he doesn't enter each measure on the downbeat. he finds a point where his singing creates rhythmic interest. The two horns are outstanding as well. This is definitely a one of those pieces of great undiscovered music which you will enjoy sharing with your friends (by playing it for them and encouraging them to buy it, of course). Next time they want to play their great bit of undiscovered music for you, you can top them with this CD.

Somebody's Gotta Do It

You Gotta Buy It
I'm a music lover but I don't know much about the difference among genres so this review will be vague that way. The CD has wonderful variety of incredibly listenable songs. My favourites vary from day to day but the title track, Wrong Side of the Wall and Under The Cool White are standouts. Rhaps has created a pretty impressive set of songs for a first CD. I hope there are more!

Rhaps is a joy
The first time I heard this CD I knew that I had to hear it again. A creative variety delivered by a talented group of musicians. This Cd ebbs and flows but never disappoints. The title song sets the pace for a musical odyssey that you will enjoy from front to back. Rhaps is now a staple in my music library.
