Album Notes
The making of this album has truly been a joy to create. These renderings are a *Framework* of ideas captured as life unfolds and will nicely mirror those moments. Many of the ideas came from inspired performances of friends where I worked with choices that complemented and infused their style. A few tunes lend themselves to forming a picture in one of life's often unappreciated moments. "Joyful Dicohtumus" is a portrayal of being in a happy place- good for a street scene segue. "Leather Foot" depicts a detective on the hunt for a suspect. It would be especially fitting for a theme song of a detective show. "Dean's Groovosity" is a fun time bossa romp. "Approach" has a bit of careful inquiry among many cross currents. "Fixation" is about that first look moment, that "wow" moment. "A Late Summer's breeze" and "A Careful Venture" are light hearted and bring a sense of free."Just a moment" was an inspired Brazil 66 mood as summer approached. "Her Love" is a warm ballad about enduring commitment- good for a love scene. "Weather Break" pictures that time when the sun breaks out after a long cold rain storm. "Autumn Bossa" was penned with a women's vocal in mind, feeling her wistfulness after a summer love that ended.

All these compositions can fit into themes or scenes of videos and movies as sync work -- It is one of the envisioned applications. Another direction is to work with lyricists- many melodies here were thought out as vocals. But first and foremost the project had to be a good listen, not as a performance project but as an idea presentation. We think you'll like it. Many have said that the tunes tempo is also a good companion to have while driving. Give it a try. In a most pleasant way, these tunes will stay with you.

Thanks for taking a moment. And a special thanks to all who helped make this album possible. Your influences, help, and trust are cherished beyond words.

Great Accompaniment for a Road Trip or Hike
Rick's compositions bring to mind stories and places - complex chord arrangements and artfully played instrumentation make this album a great listen for jazz-minded music lovers. This would be great accompaniment for a road trip or hike - highly recommended!
