Album Notes
"A Day at the Park" A Collection of Original Songs for Children and The Whole Family will leave you feeling energized like a fun ride on a roller coaster. After years of experience of performing for 1000's of kids with Rick's successful music, art and motivational school program "Follow Your Dreams", he has found the perfect balance of songs that kids and adults alike can enjoy. The first song "What's In The Toy Box" will open every kids imagination of fun things to do. "The Farm Song", will keep you riveted for hours trying to figure out how Rick could put so many words into one song. "Nature's Music" is filled with outdoor sounds and descriptions of a band made of nature and it's critters. "Imaginary Friend" takes you back to when you made stories up about a playmate who didn't really exist. "When I Grow Up" is about all the different ideas kids dream about being when they get older. "God Bless" a song that Rick wrote many years ago and he ends all his live shows with, is a patriotic and emotional tribute to mothers, soldiers and our great country. EVERY FAMILY should have this CD in their collection!!

Probably the most satisfaction that Rick gets out of performing live is his very successful school program he has been doing for 15 years now. "Follow Your Dreams" is a combination of music, art and motivational message. It is 45 minute show of high energy, upbeat music, concentrating on getting the kids involved and feeling good. Rick has performed this program in several states up and down the east coast. He plays for elementary to high school kids with schools using this program from everything to a motivation before testing, a treat after testing, kick off for a good school year to end of the year school bashes. He's performed for family nights, parent volunteer banquets and more. In addition to being a wonderful musician and songwriter, Rick is also a talented artist. He includes art into his school program by airbrushing a 32X40 picture, while singing a song!! This is truly a hit. Some of the kids have never even seen this kind of art. Rick then donates the painting to the school or whatever organization that has arranged for the program. He uses his art demonstration to encourage kids to get a hobby. Rick's motivational message to the kids is that regardless of what kind of background you have, you CAN truly be whatever you want to be with hard work and determination. Rick gives a brief background of his upbringing from a small rural community and of a broken family, alcoholism in the family and moving around so many times he went to 8 schools before in the 8th grade. He just emphasizes to kids that no matter where they are from, what their name is or how much money they have, they can be anything they want to be if they work hard enough. He's received letters and cards over the years from so many kids and teachers who tell them how his program has touched their hearts and made a difference. If anyone reading this is interested in more information or having Rick present his wonderful program, he does not limit where he will go. If enough programs are booked to make a trip then he will consider any area. Let us know if you'd like to bring this wonderful program to your school or organization. Rick Arnold, Entertainer, Musician and Hit Songwriter is a native of Hazard, Kentucky. Rick's interest in music began in high school, but sports was his main interest at that time. When Rick finished high school as an all state basketball player, it was time to get serious about music. After a couple of years playing music on the beaches of southern Florida, Rick settled in Nashville, Tennessee where he formed his own publishing company, Pig's Eye Publishing, Inc. and scored big with Hank Williams Jr. recording his song "Hog Wild" and making it the title cut of his album. It was also included on the Hank Williams Jr. Box Set and was used by the University of Arkansas Football Team as their theme song. As an independent artist, Rick has charted 3 songs in the Top 100 of Billboard or Cashbox Magazines. In fact he was one of the last independent artists to get a single into the Top 100 of Billboard Magazine. Rick also had 3 Number 1 independent records and was the Independent Songwriter/Act of the Year in 1989 presented in Tyler, Texas.

In addition to writing the hit song "Hog Wild" that was recorded by Hank Williams Jr., Rick was also in the video and performed on the album. His music has been used by Kentucky Educational Television in l996 in a story about swinging bridges in eastern Kentucky. He was also in a Mel Tillis video; has played at Billy Bob's in Texas, and has appeared with and/or opened for Dr. Hook's Ray Sawyer, Dan Seals, Percy Sledge, Stella Parton, William Lee Golden, and the Box Tops.
