Growing up my mother and Disc Jockey for 27 years Rae Arroyo turned me on to Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Willie Bobo, Cal Tjader, Irakere, Los Van van, Dave Valentine, and so many many other great Cuban and Puerto Rican Artists. On this new CD you will hear influences of Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Chucho Valdes, Jorge Dalto and much more etc… It is a blend of Afro-Cuban Jazz, Brazilian Jazz, and Bebop Jazz.
