Album Notes
Let Rick Epperly whisk you away on a musical journey through European Classical Music, on a trail where Romantic and Baroque meet. Compelling and thought provoking scores are brought to a new light through thoughtful and emotional interpretation.

Blind from birth, Rick's exceptional interpretation of classical music is no accident. It results from his depth of emotion, love of music, determination, excellent training, decades of careful study, and guidance from God. Rick's life bears out the statement found in one of Bach's Chorales, Who so on Him with faith is set shall ne'er forgotten be, nor let.

Rick believes that the organ should be used to paint musical pictures, much like the hand of a gifted painter with a paint brush and canvas at his disposal. These pictures are often very emotional in nature. Rick becomes excited and worked up by the harmonies produced by the musical progressions. He rarely performs a piece without meaning, nor does he take the harmonies for granted.

Rick focuses more on communicating musical pictures and emotions than in trying to prove how fast and perfectly he can perform a piece. He wants his audience to really get something out of the music instead of just being impressed with him as a performer.
