Album Notes
I hope you enjoy this music as much as I have enjoyed making it. This Album pays tribute to my son Collier, my wife Tara, my best friends, my parents, an inspirational teacher, a brave wolf, and the most incredible places in the world. All original music was written in the beautiful nature of Central Oregon.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Breedlove Instruments and the Sisters Folk Festival for musical inspiration.

Track Descriptions:
1. A Note To My Son - A simple message of encouragement to everyone - especially my son.

2. Rain - A song of lessons learned as I have grown up. Backup vocal harmonies by Tara Johnson.

3. Collier's Lullaby - I wrote this on my back deck while trying to help my infant son fall asleep. Everything described in the song actually happened around me in the 15 minute period while the sun set and I wrote the song.

4. Tara's Song - A song about life before and after I found my soulmate.

5. Smile - A fun ukulele song I wrote to remind my son that I am always here for him. The song ends with a cameo appearance by my son Collier.

6. Why I Am Happy - Based on a poem by William Stafford. The lyrics fit my life in Central Oregon perfectly.

7. Infinity - A song about disconnection with those you care about.

8. I Honor You - A song about my high school choir director who died tragically of suicide.

9. Simple Life - One of my best friends, Ruth the sled dog, wrote this song with me.

10. True Love - Ali, my canine daughter, helped me write this song from her point of view.

11. Wind - A tribute to incredibly influential people in my life who have left this world.

12. Legacy - A song that searches for the meaning in life.

13. Darkness - A song from an addicts viewpoint.

14. All I Know - An incredibly beautiful song about love and death written by Jimmy Webb. I heard this song and had to cover it.

15. Wonders - A song of unexplainable coincidences that have helped shape my life.

16. OR-7 - A song written from famous Oregon Wolf OR-7's point of view as he migrated 3000 miles through Oregon to try and find a mate. All other wolves had been extinguished from the Western US when he went roaming.

17. Perfect Day - I had a great day camping and had to write about it.

18. Bloodthirsty - A song about the only downside of experiencing the outdoors.

To rick Johnson
I can't wait to buy the album from you. What I heard was just great can't wait to hear the hole songs. You are very inspiring to me. I know I can always ask you if I have any questions about music. Great job!!!
PS.. I enjoyed these last four year learning all types of music with you.

This is an excellent album with incredibly strong vocals and instrumentation. Every track is filled with stunning imagery and thought provoking lyrics that leave the audience with chills even after the song has ended. Each of his songs are written with raw and contemplative honesty - a vital quality in any singer/songwriter and something captured effortlessly within his music. This is an extremely talented artist and the album is definitely a must-listen.
