Splintered Dreams

by Rick Street

All original music arranged in traditional country and ballad styles, with lyrical depth and superb instrumentation. Enjoy the storytelling and new and beautiful melodies begun with Rick's earlier TMG release "Lucky in Kentucky." Producer and keyboardist Don Johnson's arrangements create a simplicity with strength and finesse. Top-notch musicians Terry Scarberry on guitar, Mike Myers on electric bass, Steve Short on drums, Jake Simpson on fiddle, and Johnie Helms on steel guitar create excitement and sophistication. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Tate Music Group studios, Mustang, OK.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
What is country music? For me, it's straigtforward, real-life lyrics and unpretentious style - simple and direct. Country music, like folk music or blues originates in the experiences of everyday life. The lyrics tell a story. Some stories are happy, some sad, and some just in-between. But they are stories that everyone should be able to relate to - and in the end make you feel better. Maybe it makes your burden a little lighter, your day a little brighter, or your heart a little stronger.
