Album Notes
For 20 years, The Righteous Mothers have phrased their sentiments through marvelously inventive music that ranges from rock to jazz to gospel to blues to folk, all performed with tight complex harmonies, supported by impressive instrumentation on the guitar, keyboard, bass & percussion.

Whether dealing with...

- the demeaning absurdity of the Hugh Hefner inspired body type,

- the inspiring courage of a woman named Py who fought back against a knife-wielding rapist and won,

- the breathy, panting heave-ho of birthing,

- the wild, and at times, absurd Supreme Court decisions

- or simply a secret obsession for ice cream

The Righteous Mothers remind us that we are not alone. They transform our pain and confusion into laughter and at times, hilarity.

What Others Have Said About The Righteous Mothers:

"Your songs are smart and smarting-had us laughing and crying (sometimes both at once). And your stage presence and routines were hilariously perfect. Brilliant performance all the way around."
Jody Aliesan, PCC Farm
Land Fund

"The Righteous Mothers are TERRIFIC!!"
Peter Yarrow

"It's hard to document what they do best: their songwriting, their dynamic performance, their firm grasp of timely social issues, or their non-stop sense of humor...The Righteous Mothers are terrific!"
Teresa Lynn Loe,
Interagency Committee
of State Employed

"I love the Righteous Mothers!"
Christine Lavin

"The Righteous Mothers have something to say and say it well-with insight, humor and power. Harmony has never been better."
