Album Notes
Clarinetist Jelmer de Moed and pianist Rik Kuppen played together for the first time after they both received prices during the finals of the Princess Christina Competition. They have given many concerts together since on tours through Europe and Mexico where they presented their programs to diverse audiences.

Rik Kuppen studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with piano pedagogue Ellen Corver. He won prizes during the YPF piano competition 2019, toured the most beautiful concerthalls of the Netherland during his Dutch Classical Talent Tour and received the prize for best lied accompanist during the International Vocalists Competition Den Bosch.

Jelmer de Moed studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Arno Piters and Hans Colbers and recently moved to Berlin to proceed his Masters at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with prof. Martin Spangenberg, He won the Classic Young Masters Award in 2016 and appeared as a soloist with a.o. the Dutch Symphony Orchestra and Kamerata Zuid.

As a duo, Rik and Jelmer took part in the finals of the National Conservatory Competition and were coached by Reinbert de Leeuw en Eberhart Feltz. In 2019 they published their debut-EP 'Dwaallicht' with compositions by Alban Berg and Robert Schumann.
