Album Notes
RipleyBlues is a quality live music club in Yorkshire, England and this CD includes tracks by 14 bands who have played the venue in the last five years. As well as big names like The Yardbirds and Dr Feelgood it includes superb tracks from exciting young British artists such as Ian Parker and The Nimmo Brothers.
Our venue, the historic "Hotel de Ville" was built in 1854 and now needs major refurbishment works to bring the hall up to modern standards and to keep music live in this part of the world. All proceeds from the CD will go towards the improvement works and the sleeve notes are written by Sir Thomas Ingilby, owner of Ripley Castle.
The CD was recently featured on BBC radio and presenter Paul Jones described it as "marvellous". Here is what one purchaser thought :-
"Thank you for the very quick delivery of the Ripley Blues CD, I did not expect it that quickly. I have now played the CD several times and I am so impressed. Absolutely brilliant...I can't stop tapping my feet!" Keith Hubbard, London.
