Album Notes
Co-produced by Rick Roe and Paul Keller on their own labels, this is a third trio recording for Roe, and one of many leader / co-leader recordings for Keller. These three musicians, Roe, Keller, and Cleaver have worked together in many different settings, for many years, evident by their strong musical connection heard here on original and jazz standard compositions and arrangements. Roe's composition "Close To The Equator" was used on a prominent Japanese Jazz Critic's choice compilation CD entitled "Jazz Bar 2002" in Japan, where Roe's first two CD's have received critical acclaim. Roe's other CD's are: Rick Roe - Monk's Modern Music (1994), Rick Roe - The Changeover (1996), Bop Culture (2001) and Rick Roe - Sphere (2005) on his Unknown Records Label.

"The co-op trio plays with the easy assurance of those who anticipate one another's every move." "A high-caliber trio session from the heartland."

-Jack Bowers Cadence March 2002
