ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"ROBBY has got one of those rare voices that you won't forget...he has got the ability to enter your heart with the very first word." (Jazz Singer Melanie Bong, 2014)

Influenced by singers like George Michael and Lionel Richie on the one hand and Alejandro Sanz or Ketama on the other, CRESPO is without doubt one of the most talented songwriters and voice magicians of our days. Born in Frankfurt (Germany) by the name of Roberto Roque Crespo Slisuric, as the son of a Croatian singer and a Spanish guitarist, he started singing and playing the guitar with different local bands and musicians from the age of 16. Growing up in Frankfurt, he had his first solo performance in a school orchestra at the age of 17. He started writing his own songs early and kept doing so over the years. At 18 he founded his first own band and named it "Alegria". The Band toured in Germany for several years . With his follow-up band project "Passion", CRESPO began to integrate some of his original material. His latest band project is called "Rumbalea", a fusion of originals, Spanish pop and some Latino classics.

In 2014, he started out recording his first studio album called 'FEEL'. 10 original songs full of emotion and rhythm, always based on the sound of his Spanish guitar.

Because of his multicultural background CRESPO speaks and sings in four languages: German, Spanish, Croatian and English. Since CRESPO has always used more than only one language to write his songs, the idea of singing in at least two languages is part of his musical concept on 'FEEL'. So far CRESPO has used two languages on the album - Spanish and English, so-called "Spanglish".

His music is a high-class fusion of pop and fiery flamenco influences, using the crisp sound of his acoustic guitar as the main structure in his arrangements.
