Album Notes
One of rock music's most enduring songwriter/producer/artists Robert Ellis Orrall returns with back to back masterpieces. "Picking up where he left off with his three RCA Records releases ("Fixation", "Special Pain" and "Contain Yourself"), Orrall's "Gravity" is a beautiful self-exploratory journey through the halcyon days of the 1970's, growing up on Neil Young, Todd Rundgren and the Beatles. This non-stop, cross-faded song-story leads us through the new wave 80's (check out "Crying Out Loud") and lands back where it all begins. The pure pop of "Love Is Calling" and "The Latest Craze" and the musically adventurous "The Deep End" and "When I Was Introduced To Me" are presented here with a sparkling production from one of music's most eclectic producers (Taylor Swift, Be Your Own Pet, Love and Theft). Just like Orrall's recent title track to the Sony Records soundtrack "The Book Of Lies", these tracks shimmer with beautiful harmonies, breath-taking melodies, and meaningful lyrics. A career best from one of the best minds in music" - Martin Henningrin

"Gravity" comes with a free copy of Robert Ellis Orrall's "Mistakes", about which The Washington Post says, "With songwriter Robert Ellis Orrall's 'Mistakes', to err is divine. An ambitious blend of pop, rock and country, it breaks nearly every Nashville music business rule." "Mistakes" is a non-stop, 12 song, cross-faded story, a "stark incredibly musical journey in and out of a broken heart. His gem of a masterwork, his highest point, his 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band', if you will". The album features over 50 musicians, including guest performances by Michael McDonald, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Raul Malo, Al Anderson, Billy Burnette, and Bekka Bramlett and others. It has never been made available for sale (one Norwegian newspaper listed it as "one of the top ten most collectible albums of all-time). Over the years 2000 copies have been given to friends and fans. In that spirit, we give it to you with the purchase of "Gravity".

Couldn't be better!
Just saw Robert perform in LA and had to have this collection. It blew me away. The songs are scary good. The production is beyond, especially on my faves "The Deep End", "These Are The 70's" and "Pray". It's a beautiful beautiful album.

Finally Available!
I'm so glad to finally have "Gravity" and it was worth the wait! (I already had a copy of "Mistakes", acquired a few years back, which is excellent as well.) My only problem with the presentation of these two CDs is that they are CD-Rs with paper labels applied to them. This was disappointing to me. These releases would have been a straight 5 stars for me, but the fact that they are CD-Rs and with paper labels takes off a star. Now we just need someone to release "Fixation", "Special Pain" and "Contain Yourself". (I'll pass on the early album.)
